Division Manager, IP Protection

Responsibilities:
- Providing IP protection: organization of the process and creation of a system for working with IP.
- IP strategy development
- IP rights control
- Regulatory documentation development for registration of IP rights and utilization
- Monitoring research directions in project companies, examination of IP for reliability and protection, preliminary patent search, recommendations for IP preparation.
- Keeping IP registration database, monitoring dates of registration for extension
- Patent research for patentability and novelty of a product
- Cooperation with patent councils and consultants on patent search, patent landscape preparation and patent execution in foreign jurisdiction (EU, USA)
- Building up of IP protection schemes based on practical understanding of relevant Russian and foreign legislation.
- Trademark registration
- Coordination of the work in preparation of R&D agreements, confidential agreements, trademark license agreements, license agreements for utilization of inventions, utility models and industrial designs, agreements for exclusive rights alienation including agreements with foreign contractors.
Requirements:
- University degree in engineering or law.
- More than two years experience in the field of IP protection in industrial companies, R&D projects, leading consulting/law companies.
- Successful experience in development for IP protection
- Experience in cooperation with foreign and Russian registration bodies (Europe, USA)
- Experience in various levels of negotiations
- Knowledge and experience of practical utilization of law in IP
- Advanced level English – to be checked during the interview.
- Required experience - 1-3 years
